Hanyang

Hanyang District is one of the central urban areas of Wuhan City, Hubei Province. it is named because it is located in the yang of ancient Hanshui River. It is located in the southwest of Wuhan City, where the Yangtze River and Hanjiang River meet, and forms three towns in Wuhan from Wuchang and Hankou. Hanyang District, which lives alone in Hanyang District, bordering the Yangtze River in the east and Hanshui River in the north, is the ten-character intersection of the Golden Waterway of the Yangtze River and the great artery of the Beijing-Guangzhou Railway. By the end of 2017, the region had 11 streets with a total area of 111.54 square kilometers, with a resident population of 652700 and a household registration population of 460900. Hanyang is origin land of Wuhan city, adjacent to the Yangtze River in the southeast, across the river from Wuchang District and Hongshan District, connected with Wuhan Economic and technological Development Zone in the southwest, Caidian District in the west, and adjacent to Jianghan District, Qiankou District and Dongxi Lake District in the north. Hanyang is also one of the birthplaces of modern Chinese industrial civilization. In history, there are Hanyang Iron Factory, Hanyang Arms Factory and other foreign enterprises.“Hanyang-Making” also enjoy a reputation at home and abroad.
