Heping

Heping District is in the center of central Tianjin. Although it is Tianjin’s smallest district, it has the greatest concentration of office and retail activity.  Many tall office buildings cluster around Nanjing Road, while retail shops are concentrated along Nanjing Road and the pedestrian streets of Binjiang Avenue and Heping Road.  The district is home to many multinational banks and local and foreign firms The district has European architecture dating from a century ago and is well known for the Wu Da Dao cultural tourism area, sometimes called the  “ Exhibition of the World's Architecture”. The bars and art blocks nestled in these western-style buildings attract tourists from home and abroad. The district is also home to top level schools and medical facilities and well served by public transportation including metro line 1 and line 3.
