Jiangbei

Jiangbei district is located on the north bank of the Yangtze River and Jialing River boarding Yubei district to the north and facing Nan’an, Yuzhong and Sha Pingba districts on the other side of the two rivers. With a population around 860,000, Jiangbei district has a total land area of about 221 square kilometers with the urbanised rate about 96%. In 2016 GRP is recorded at RMB 77.8 billion with a total increasing rate of 11%. Almost 21% of the increasing was contributed by financial-related industries and the output of the modern service sector counts 56% of that the tertiary industry. Jiangbeizui CBD, known as "the Lu Jiazui in the upper reaches of the Yangtze river" and "China's third financial district", is the only national strategic financial center in midwestern China and an opening platform for the inner land regions to the globe. Driven by a number of incentives, such as the “Belt and Road Initiatives”, the “Yangtze River Economic Zone”, the “China-Singapore (Chongqing) Demonstration Initiative on Strategic Connectivity” and the “Chongqing Free-trade Zone”, a number of prime office properties, commercial complexes and two 5-star hotels have been already constructed and Jiangbeizui CBD has attracted over 20 financial institutions to set up their Chongqing headquarters.
