Nankai

Located in the southwest of central Tianjin, Nankai district has the largest population of the six districts in central Tianjin. The district includes two leisure focused areas including the drum-tower in its “old city” area in north and Water Park in south. Nankai district is also a higher education and scientific research base features intelligence and technology, with the well-known universities Nankai University and Tianjin University located in this area. With the development of public transportation and retail business, an increasing number of office tenants choose to settle in Nankai District. Especially in recent years, the government is endeavoring to step up industrial transformation by developing platform economy, internet economy and promoting emerging industries. Nankai district is served by metro line 1, 2, 3, 5 and 6.
