The area that surrounds Wujiaochang, one of Yangpu’s largest subdistricts, can now boast to containing ten large commercial centres with the research facility along Dalian Road ranking among the top 500 in the world. Yangpu District is connected to the neighbouring Pudong New DIstrict across the Huangpu River by one bridge, three tunnels, and six ferry lines. These include the Yangpu Bridge, the Xiangyin Road Tunnel, the Dalian Road Tunnel, and the Jungong Road Tunnel. Metro lines 3, 4, 8, 10 and 12 all connect Yangpu District to the downtown Shanghai and two new lines 17 and 18, which are currently under construction, will soon provide more convenience to local transportation services. The Elevated Inner Ring Rd. and Middle Ring Rd. also traverse through Yangpu District serving as another level of transport infrastructure.
